1. Lakshmipathy Balaji – 2008

Lakshmipathy Balaji produced a historic and first hat tricks in IPL for Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday night. Starting off this extraordinary sequence was Irfan Pathan who attempted a powerful pull shot off a slower ball but was caught by Suresh Raina at deep square leg.

6. Yuvraj Singh – 2009

Yuvraj Singh’s remarkable hat-trick made him as the first player to take two hat tricks in IPL before anyone. Also his bowling added a huge weightage in Kings XI Punjab’s victories.

7. Praveen Kumar – 2010

Praveen Kumar made history when he delivered an incredible hat tricks in IPL for Rajasthan Royals against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2010 by bowling with pinpoint accuracy and pace during the 16th over. Damien Martyn became the first victim in his hat-trick when he missed an inch-perfect yorker from Praveen Kumar that sent back Martyn.

The second victim, Mandeep Singh, fell prey to Mishra’s guile as a well-tossed-up delivery enticed him down the track. However, the ball dipped sharply, eluding Mandeep’s attempted shot, and Kedar Devdhar executed a lightning-fast stumping to send him back to the pavilion.

The hat-trick was completed in stunning fashion as Ryan Harris became the third player. Mishra’s googly bounced extra, sharply breaking in from outside off, and a cramped Harris went for the cut, only to find the waiting hands of a fielder in the slip/gully region. This is the second hat tricks in IPL for Amit Mishra in his cricketing career.

9. Ajit Chandila – 2012

• Venue: Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

Ajit Chandila took an amazing hat-trick for Rajasthan Royals in just their second over of their innings against Pune Warriors India to set off an explosive start against them. Beginning this sequence was Jesse Ryder attempting a lofted shot that failed to generate sufficient distance, offering Shane Watson at mid-on an easy catch.

10. Sunil Narine – 2013

• Date: April 16, 2013
• Venue: Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali

Narine’s extraordinary feat set Kolkata Knight Riders ahead in this match in the first innings but they failed to win the match as they couldn’t score at the last over.

11. Amit Mishra – 2013

14. Axar Patel – 2016

• Date: May 01, 2016
• Venue: Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot

Axar Patel completed a sensational hat tricks in IPL for the Kings XI Punjab in the 11th over of the match, leaving the Gujarat Lions stunned and reeling at 57/6. The onslaught began with the dismissal of Dinesh Karthik in the 7th over, who misread Axar’s arm ball, playing for turn, only to drag the ball back onto his leg stump off an inside edge. The next victim was Dwayne Bravo in the same over, caught on the crease as the ball skidded off the surface, resulting in Bravo playing on and dragging the ball onto his leg stump via an inside edge.

15. Samuel Badree – 2017
